Jim Rogers – Rogers Holdings and Beeland Interests, Inc.

Jim Rogers started his business at the age of five by selling peanuts. He got his first job on Wall Street after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 1964.

In the investment world, Jim Rogers saw the world markets that may be full of uncertainty, but billionaire investor Jim Rogers anticipates profits in one sector for years to come, namely commodities.

In 1973, Jim Rogers co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros. Over the next 10 years, the portfolio managed up 4200 percent while the S&P rose 47 percent.

What’s more interesting about him is that he likes to break rules as an investor. He is famous for his contrarian calls and controversial ideas.

In 1980, Jim Rogers decided to “retire”, and spent much of his time to travel by bike around the world. Since then, he has been a guest professor of finance fields of study at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
